SPEED7 is the fastest available Native Code Processor for STEP^®7 from Siemens in the world using Open Source Technology. To support our claim we compared the performance of the VIPA SPEED7 CPUs (New VIPA 315SB) with the Siemens S7-318 CPU in 7 different STEP^®7 programs to cover a wide variety of typical functions. The graphic results are shown below:

We made a comparison between the CPU 317SE from VIPA and various CPUs from Siemens. The Siemens CPU S7 318-2 is for reference purposes and therefore always performs at the 100% benchmark (1.0 on the scale in the chart). The graphic shows the speed comparisons as a factor against the benchmark. The test compared the pure AWL performance without external feedback or other system functions.
